Welcome to Cuillrigh - This luxury holiday home sleeps up to four people looking to relax and explore the wonderful Isle of Skye, Scotland. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two living rooms, all designed to give you the best possible views of the spectacular Highland scenery around you.
With high quality finishing and furnishings throughout, Cuillrigh is ideally located by the shores of Loch Portree. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area features a wood burning stove to keep you warm on chilly evenings, comfy seating and spectacular floor to ceiling windows with views over the loch and surrounding hills.
Step outside onto a deck and patio where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or meal in the peaceful garden, taking in the views and watching out for the eagles and deer that frequent the area.
Built to passive house standards, this super insulated, energy efficient building has a low ecological footprint, heat recovery system and constant supply of fresh air.
Open plan living, relax and enjoy the views
The stunning open plan ground floor living and dining area is well furnished with a comfy sofa and armchairs where you can gaze out of the multiple floor to ceiling windows to Loch Portree and watch the tide drift in and out, whilst the fabulous modern wood burner crackles away in the corner.
Upstairs is a second living space with dual aspect windows, writing desk, yoga mat and sofa.
Once the sun has set, there are large SMART TVs in each living area with Sky TV inc Sky Sports, books, board games and a Bluetooth speaker for music.
Cooking and dining, in space and style
The modern, fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need. With CircoTherm oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, food processor, french press, microwave. Making cooking and entertaining a pleasure.
The dining area lies to the other side of the room and you can enjoy the dual aspect views over Ben Tianavaig, the loch and the often sighted eagles and buzzards that soar above.
There is also a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer plus storage space for bags, jackets and shoes.
Sleep soundly, two bedrooms for four people
Bedroom 1 - The ground floor bedroom offers a king size bed with jumbo window and stunning Cuillin mountain range vistas. Waking up with this view is like no other and you can relax in the super luxurious bedding and take it all in.
Bedroom 2 - Upstairs you will find a large second bedroom with twin beds and dual aspect windows, so you can gaze out at the ever changing weather and glorious views.
Both bedrooms have luxury linens, occasional chairs, hanging space, and chest of drawers with plenty of storage.
Two bathrooms, with showers
Bathroom 1 - Downstairs is a large family bathroom toilet, sink and walk in rainfall shower, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Bathroom 2 - Upstairs you will find a second bathroom with electric shower, sink, toilet and maybe the best view you will ever have when brushing your teeth!
Each bathroom has ARRAN Aromatics hand-wash, hand-cream, shampoo and conditioner.
Bath towels, hand-towels and a hairdryer are also included.
Explore the garden, enjoy the space
Doors lead out from the living area onto a deck and patio with table and chairs where you can sit with a drink or dine al fresco and soak up the scenery.
The garden wraps around the property and offers loch and mountain scenery along with a view of the Old Mann of Storr in the distance. Plus there is a large grassed area to the side of the property, perfect for outdoor exercise or a game of boules. Also keep an eye out for the wild horses and sheep that roam the nearby fields. A 5 minute walk from the property takes you to the shore of Loch Portree. Or you can hike across the heather to the black sands of Camas Ban beach!
At night enjoy some star gazing as the property and Skye itself offers some of the best dark skies in Europe.
Set on its own plot that blends with its surrounds, this stunning home and garden is delightful in every way.
